Your student will receive personalized tutoring in reading, writing, or math. I align my instruction with the West Hartford curriculum to ensure your child has a solid understanding of what is being taught in the classroom.

Does your child need help with math skills? Are there gaps in their understanding that make math challenging? This group helps reinforce numeracy, fact fluency, and fills in the gaps to ensure your child is working on grade level. Groups are never larger than four  students so that we have great partnerships for collaboration. 

Does your child need a challenge in math? Our math group encourages collaboration with other young mathematicians and introduces advanced concepts beyond their grade level. With groups no larger than four, we create space for dialogue and support, helping them build perseverance.

Our book clubs work differently from adult book clubs. In the first session, we read the first chapter together, focusing on vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. Students then read a few chapters at home before we meet again to read and discuss the next chapter. This cycle continues for a total of four sessions. In this small setting, readers build confidence and improve fluency. Book clubs are limited to four students.  Book clubs meet on Sunday afternoons at 3:30 and 4:30. 

This group is designed for fourth-grade writers. Whether your child is a reluctant writer, struggles to get started, has difficulty expressing ideas clearly, or loves writing and creating stories but needs guidance, this group can help. While we explore many genres, our main focus is on narrative writing.

Whether it’s difficulty starting homework or helping them develop a routine for getting ready independently, these struggles often stem from issues with executive functioning, which likely effect them at school too. Mulready Micro Academy offers in-home support to address these needs and foster greater independence.
